Job Role and Key Responsibilities:
Training & Instruction:
- Conduct professional GIS training sessions.
- Customize training modules to suit the needs of diverse learners, ranging from beginners to advanced professionals.
- Deliver live virtual or in-person training sessions across varying time shifts to accommodate global clients.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support, ensuring clients gain practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
Research Associate:
- Collaborate with team to understand project requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
- Work on GIS-based projects.
- Data Collection & Management.
- Spatial Analysis & Modeling
- Research Support
- Technology Integration
- Report Generation & Presentation
- Collaboration & Team Support
- Ensure that research methodologies and GIS workflows are aligned with best practices and standards in the industry.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- A Master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Diploma or equivalent experience in at least one general purpose programming language (e.g. Python, Ruby, C++, Java)
- Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS and remote sensing tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
