Since the NorthEast Region in geographically hilly with undulating topography there is a yet a greater demand and need for gis, remote sensing and UAV applications in this region. Over a decade we have seen that there is a greater need for more skilled personals in handling geospatial data in government and private department. The potential of geospatial data is not fully utilised. Thus for a better future and regional development more people with high skill in gis and remote sensing will be needed.
