Job Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct professional GIS training.
- Customize training modules to suit the needs of diverse learners, ranging from beginners to advanced professionals.
- Deliver live virtual or in-person training sessions across varying time shifts to accommodate global clients.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support, ensuring clients gain practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
- Guide students in hands-on GIS applications, spatial analysis, remote sensing and cartography.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, helping them with project work, assignments and skill enhancement.
- Stay updated with the latest GIS trends, technologies and software developments.
- Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes and projects.
- Collaborate with the training and research team to enhance course offerings and curriculum.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- A Master’s degree or Diploma in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Diploma or equivalent experience in at least one general purpose programming language (e.g. Python, C++, Java)
- Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS and remote sensing tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
